Today I want to share with you 7 crystals that you can use to supercharge your planner!
Many of you ask me about my crystals, which ones I have and what I use them for and I thought this would be a fun themed video for all my planner lovers.
If you are new to crystals, they are beautiful natural earth elements and stones that are believed to hold a specific energy based on their color and structure and therefore have metaphysical properties that may support you in different areas of life.
Any one crystal can be used a number of ways, but today I want to introduce you to seven that hold specific energies that I believe are helpful for planning and productivity.
Video: 7 Crystals to Supercharge Your Planner
I hope you’ve enjoyed this video and learning about how crystals can help support your planning and productivity needs.
Now I want to hear from you in the comments, which crystals or stones are you interested in picking up and using with your planner?
As you’re setting your goals and resolutions for the New Year, remember that there are more things to experience and bring to fruition in life than the immediate outcomes we may desire in our physical reality.
The dream job, the new home, the weight loss, the perfect wedding, these are all wonderful things to desire and manifest, but some of the best things in life, the things that really move the needle in our sense of happiness and connection in the world are things we will never be able to see or measure or create a step by step action plan for.
They are subtle energetic shifts, they are quantum leaps that hurdle our own limiting beliefs, they are immaterial and therefore often sorely overlooked and undervalued.
So, I have compiled a list of 22 of these such things that you may want to consider manifesting in 2022. If you don’t set goals, these outcomes may be more your style, but if you do set goals, consider how impactful allowing these shifts into your life would be for your overall wellbeing and contentment.
A positive self image
Confidence in your abilities
Clarity on what you want for the future
Perfect health and wellness
Amazing soul mate relationships
A morning routine that gets you excited to jump out of bed
A career that you love
A practice for manifesting money
Self care habits that energize you
Great sleep on a consistent basis
People who inspire you
Supportive and encouraging self talk
Books that change your view on the world
A sense of grounding and security in yourself
A clear connection to your intuition
Forgiveness for yourself and others
Deep conversations that increase your connection with others
A community who sees and supports you
Experiences that push you outside your comfort zone
An unshakable connection to God/Spirit/Universe
The realization of your purpose
Abundant gratitude for life
If you are looking for a tool to help you get crystal clear on what you are manifesting for 2022 consider the 2022 You Got Goals Planner + New Year Goal Setting Workshop. These are goal setting tools that go beyond the traditional goal breakdowns and New Years resolutions. Yes, they will help you breakdown your goals into step by step action plans, but they will also help you reframe your mindset around your goals so you can remove limiting beliefs and develop new positive beliefs that help support your motivation to make your goals a reality in 2022!
A number of you have reached out to ask me about my crystals and I wanted to share some thoughts on them with everyone!
Yes, I have a nice little collection of crystals in my office that are one part decor and one part metaphysical tool.
Why I Love Crystals
By no means do I believe that crystals have some magical properties but this is what I do believe about them:
❖ Like everything on earth crystals are made from the same energy we are. See Einstein E=MC2 energy creates matter.
❖ The most precious chemical element to human life, water, can take the form of crystal. Ice is a crystalline form of water, humans are made mostly of water, and therefore I believe it is possible that crystals can exert some influence on us.
❖ Quartz crystals are the technology that make timepieces possible. Your watch, if it’s not digital, likely has quartz elements because quartz crystals maintain a precise frequency standard which helps regulate the movement of a watch or clock. For this reason I think they have a unique way of storing a regulating energy.
❖ Crystals are a naturally occurring element and I love the idea of bringing nature into our lives as much as possible.
❖ Crystals come in a variety of colors which according to color therapy can shift our moods in different situations if used strategically.
❖ Crystals are lovely objectives to focus on during meditation and can help uplift the experience overall. For that reason I tend to collect stones that are easy to hold in the hand, but I would love to add some larger statement pieces to my collection as well.
For those reasons I am a great lover of crystals and do believe they offer some metaphysical benefits to our lives even if it’s just a beautiful element of home decor. I understand that science hasn’t been able to prove any definitive benefit to their use, but science can’t explain a lot of things that humans do or believe so it’s not the end of the world to me that I might think they have a special power or meaning beyond what can be measured or observed.
Where I get my crystals
I purchase a lot of my crystals on Etsy, but I also follow accounts in IG that sell them too. I highly recommend doing your research on the shops you purchase from, read reviews, etc, and I also recommend researching the meanings and usage of different crystals or stones before you buy them so you select pieces that are special to you.
If you have been curious about journaling, today I have some great information to share with you. In this post, I will explain:
Why you should start journaling
Strategies to consider for journaling
Tools to use when beginning your practice
Building the habit of daily (or regular) journaling
Why you should start journaling
There are plenty of reasons why someone would want to journal, and if you are reading this I assume you are trying to get some inspiration for yourself or you already know why you want to start in some form. I think it’s very important when you start a practice and regular habit like journaling that you know what you intend to get out of the experience. When you have that personal reason why or your intention for it set, it makes it much easier for you to decide the strategy you want to use, stick to the practice and remain accountable to it.
Documented Benefits of Journaling
Mental clarity
Improve your Productivity
Reduced Stress and anxiety
Increased Happiness
Identify and overcome limiting beliefs
Reprogram your mindset
Self-therapy and reflection for self-awareness
Manifestation of goals
Okay, now that you know why you want to journal, let’s discuss the common strategies that you can use to do so. I have seven to share with you and I want to make it clear that you can choose one or more of these types to use at once. I myself often switch between these different strategies of journaling often or I tend to do more than one in a single journaling session.
Strategies to consider for journaling
Brain-dump – write down all the things your holding in your mind to organize and prioritize them.
Stream of consciousness writing – just writing out all your thoughts feelings emotions to release your thoughts and self reflect. See morning pages from The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.
Gratitude journaling – list out gratitude, good to set your mindset as it’s documented to make you 10% happier.
Journal prompts – guided journaling for self reflection, great for people who get overwhelmed at the thought of having to fill a blank page.
Affirmations – repeatedly writing out affirmations. Stick to 1-3 as to not overwhelm yourself.
Scripting – writing out how you want your day to go for the purpose of manifesting it.
Future writing – journaling as yourself but at a future date in time after some goal or achievement has been met and chronical everything that happened to bring you to that point
Tools to use when beginning your practice
For the most part you can get started journaling with just some blank note paper or even a note taking app on your phone or computer. There is some data that supports writing by hand rather than typing but that is really for specific benefits of stress reduction. So, what you intend to get out of your journaling is key to know when choosing the tools to use.
As an example, a notebook like the Stalogy Editor’s Series gives you a years worth of undated pages to really do any of the journaling strategies we discussed already.
For myself, personally, I get a little intimidated by a completely blank page with no structure or guidance so over the years as I’ve been journaling for various reasons, I’ve designed different inserts for journaling to accompany my planner.
High Vibe Bible inserts are designed for a loosely guided gratitude and manifestation journaling experience
I designed a number of guided journaling workbooks for my Empire Building students and Productivity Master Mind Members with prompts intended to help them in specific areas of productivity, mindset and business
Most recently I designed a day on two page planning and journaling insert based on my previous video 5 Daily Prompts and Affirmations for Making a Plan that Comes True. I’ve been loving this insert even though it’s a little more than I’d normally use in my planner I’ve been enjoying the daily page to supplement my weekly master planner spread.
Building the habit of daily (or regular) journaling
The final piece of the journaling equation is to actually build the habit. Now, it’s up to you to decide if you need journaling to be a daily practice, a weekly practice or just something you do sporadically when you need it. This links back to your why, and ultimately is your choice. You can’t mess up journaling and there are no rules that say you have to journal a specific amount of times or at a specific time of day to get benefit from it.
Is journaling a habit that the more you do, the more you improve… of course! But I want to remind you not to turn the idealization of a perfect journaling practice that is going to change your life forever, into an expectation that you struggle to meet and then end up beating yourself up about. As you get started with journaling, I’d advise you to invest in the tools that make you excited, and then set a reasonable schedule for journaling. Some people prefer journaling in the morning, some in the evening. I aim for the morning but when I forget I have no problem doing a midday reset or even a bed time journaling session.
Start slow, maybe one day a week. And then after a few weeks, build up to two days and so on. There is no reason to overwhelm yourself! Use journaling as a tool for your self improvement. And remember the affirmation I gave you last week what I decide gets to be the path for me this is definitely true of journaling!

I hope this information has been helpful for you in determining how to begin your own journaling practice. In the comments I would love to hear about which strategies you are interested in trying for yourself!
There is a quote I love attributed to Abraham Lincoln that says “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
I whole heartedly agree.
As someone who does enjoy dabbling with forms of divination like tarot and the I-Ching, I understand that practically speaking we all have a significant measure of control over certain aspects of the future, particularly our own.
This is yet another line where planning and productivity intersect with metaphysical principles.
I believe that if you set goals, create a plan, and get your mind, heart and actions in alignment with that plan, you will have written the future for yourself.
So, here are some simple tools you can use to act on this principle.

If you have been following along with this Entrepreneurial blog post series for a few months, you know that I have been experiencing a series of break-throughs with my mindset, my business and my content since lockdown started. So, it shouldn’t really be a surprise to anyone that September was my BEST MONTH EVER for my business so far.
Not only was September my personal best month of sales, it also now holds the record for my top three individual days of earning ever in the history of my shop which opened in 2014.
Because of this massive influx of abundance, I was able to hit a bunch of goals I had set for myself for the year, and unsurprisingly, these goals were things I had been manifesting on intentionally through my daily manifestation journaling practice.
I did a significant amount of mindset work leading into September and, well, it worked! I was able to attract an amount of money I have never reached before in my business, with what truly felt like a fraction of the effort I have put into previous months, campaigns or launches.
I have always believed that manifestation and law of attraction worked. I have played with it for years and years, but September truly proved to me that my reality and my level of abundance was completely under my control.
So, of course, I am now left wondering…
How do you follow up your best month ever?
Clearly, I have hit a new level, I tapped into a new high for myself and my business and frankly, I do not want it to end. I desire more, I know I deserve more, I know I am ready for more, I am ready to show up and do the work to receive more again in October.
I am still playing with all this but I want to teach you how to do this too. I want to go deeper on this idea of mindset and manifestation with you. Either for your business or your productivity in general, this is a tool and a skill everyone should understand how to use.
We have three months left in 2020, and I know many of us just want to throw in the towel for this year, but there is still so much time for us to do the deeply important work of breaking down our mental barriers, getting clear on what it is we desire and taking inspired action on plans to change the trajectory of our life and year.
Look, I know many people are going to say 2020 was the worst year ever, and I certainly don’t blame them. But for me, it wasn’t the worst year. It was actually quite an amazing year for me. And I know if I could accomplish so much for myself in such a tough year, holy smokes I can do anything!
So this is what I want to do.
I want to have another live class with you this month.
I want to talk to you about how 2020 has been going and I want to hep you shift your mindset on your outlook for this year and I want to inspire you to take action on the life you want.
Let’s get together LIVE on Saturday October 17th @ 2pm EDT.
We’ll call the class IS 2020 OVER YET? Because I know that’s how many of us are feeling right now, and it is my intention with the class to help you break out of this mindset.
Don’t worry, we still have time to shift out of this mindset, and we can build momentum starting now.
We don’t have to wait for 2020 to be over.
We can have the shift now,
We can feel better now,
We can take action and have exactly what we want, starting now.
So, mark your planners for Saturday October 17th @ 2pm EDT.
AND get yourself on my list so I can send you the direct link to the class in the morning a few hours before we begin!
(If you are already on my list, you can skip this step!)
I had an amazing launch and enrollment for the Empire Building Business Accelerator.
I hit multiple records in my business.
⚡️ Best sales month ever.
⚡️ 3 of my best sales days ever.
⚡️ I hit my savings goal for the year.
⚡️ I purchased a few celebratory items off my wishlist.
⚡️ I paid off the remainder of the loan on my vehicle 18 months early.
It has been an amazing month.
And the best part is… it was all so easy!
I know I’ve worked twice as hard for half the rewards before. I’m sure that’s a feeling you can relate to.
But for the past few weeks and months I’ve been stepping up my manifestation game.
I’ve been journaling more of my limiting beliefs out, I’ve been writing the rules for how my life and business get to work, and I’ve been leaning into the good happy feelings more and more.
I always believed manifestation worked but this month blew me away with how much I was able to shift and how much I was able to achieve in such a short period of time.
So, now I’m deciding what else I get to do and have next month?!
If you have questions about manifestation and want some good resources, I will tell you that for the 6-8 weeks before my launch, I was doing some serious manifestation work, journaling my desires, identifying my limiting beliefs and overcoming them with positive evidence and affirmations.
Both of these resources are printables from my shop that you can use over and over as much as you need to achieve your own breakthrough and shift into massive abundance. They are incredibly affordable options and a great introduction to manifestation, yet still include powerful tools for those familiar with the practice!
Leave me a comment sharing something you’re grateful for + something you desire to manifest in the next month.
If you’ve been following me on Instagram over the past few months, you may have noticed that I’ve been sharing intentions and journaling prompts aligned with the phases of the moon. I personally love the idea of using moon phases to set intentions and to help open and close cycles in my life. So, today I wanted to give you a little overview of the moon phases and what they each represent if you too would like to use the natural cycle of the moon as a guide for manifesting and intention setting.
New Moon As the name suggests, the new moon phase is all about new beginnings and setting intentions for what we want to manifest over the next few weeks. Consider the new moon a clean slate, a time for gathering your thoughts and making an intentional plan for what you’d like to achieve in the coming days and weeks.
New Moon Mantra: I have a clear vision for what I will manifest.

Waxing Moon Phases The term waxing moon refers to the phase where the moon is beginning to fill up with light. Common moon phases during this cycle are the waxing crescent (moon is less then half filled with visible light) , first quarter moon (moon is exactly half filled with visible light) and waxing gibbous (moon is more than half filled with visible light). The waxing phases of the moon are a time to take action on your intentions and refine your plans. No plan goes in precise order, so during this phase consider how you can find ways to overcome obstacles and continue to move forward towards your objective and intentions.
Waxing Moon Mantra: With each step I take I feel joyful anticipation for the arrival of my manifestation.
Full Moon The full moon phase is a time for reaping and harvesting your rewards. If you’ve been taking action over the past few weeks, you should have results to show for your efforts. Now is the time to enjoy and receive them. Celebrate what you’ve accomplished and indulge in the fruits of your labor.
Full Moon Mantra: My manifestation is now coming to fruition.
Waning Moon Phases The term waning moon refers to the phase where the visible light of the moon is shrinking. Common moon phases during this cycle are the waning gibbous (moon is still more than half filled with visible light), third quarter moon (moon is exactly half filled with visible light), and waning crescent (moon is less than half filled with visible light). The waning phases of the moon are a time to reflect and surrender to the unknown. This is the ideal time to rest and rebuild your energy stores for the next new moon cycle of action. Although it may be difficult to sit back and trust that all will be well, patience is an important step in the manifestation process that follows a period of action and activity. There is only so much we can do to control an outcome, so now it is time to believe in the power of your intention and manifestation.
Waning Moon Mantra: I rest peacefully knowing my manifestation is nearly complete.
I hope this guide to manifesting with the moon phases provides you a simple strategy to intention setting and working with the natural flow of energy to bring your objectives to fruition. I’d love to hear how this process works for you, and of course for more moon manifestation and intention setting tools, make sure to follow me on Instagram @MissTrenchcoat.
As many of you may already know, something I like to track in my planner are the cycles of the moon. I’ve spoken briefly about why I do this, personally, in a planner setup video from a few months ago, but many of you asked for me to make it a dedicated post so that is what I am doing today!
So, in my planner I like to track when the full moon and new moon are- I don’t necessarily track the other phases of the moon- these two are the ones I am most interested in for the purpose of tracking and understanding my menstrual cycle, fertility and reproductive health. Full disclosure, I am not currently trying to conceive, but as a woman who may want to conceive one day and is of a certain age where conception is sometimes more difficult, I’ve been much more interested in my cycle and reproductive health now than I ever have been in the past.
So, you are probably wondering, what does the moon cycle have to do with your reproductive health? Well, actually, a lot, not in a directly measurable way, but in an indirect way due to the role the moon traditionally plays in our hormonal cycles.
I guess the crux of the matter here has to do with our body’s producing a hormone called melatonin. You may be familiar with melatonin- it is the hormone in our body that controls our circadian rhythm, which is our sleep/wake cycle, however, melatonin may also play a role in other cycles of our body, like our reproductive hormones. This is how melatonin traditionally works in our bodies- melatonin production kicks off on our bodies at about dusk, when the sun is going down and there is a visible reduction in light. Melatonin essentially keeps ramping up the darker it gets and makes us sleepy so that we go to bed when it’s dark, hopefully it keeps us asleep overnight and in the morning when the sun begins to rise, levels of melatonin taper off. So our personal melatonin production is tied to the amount of light in the sky. And some science and research has shown that the higher melatonin is in a woman’s body specifically, the more fertile she may be. Because of this correlation- some women who struggle with fertility or are undergoing fertility treatments are sometimes encouraged to use melatonin supplements.
Now, what does this have to do with the moon?
Well, traditionally, as in before the advent of modern lighting inside of homes- the darkest nights of the month would be the nights around the new moon. A new moon if you are aware is when there is no moon actually visible in the sky- so those nights are darker than nights around or on a full moon where the moon is at its brightest and the night is brighter. Now again, traditionally speaking, there is a belief or an old wives tale that if a women menstuates with a new moon, she is more likely to conceive during that time- and if the research into the role of melatonin is any inidicator- I’d say this is one of those old wives tales that might have some real scientific backing to why it works. Because new moon means a darker night, meaning more melatonin and perhaps higher fertility for some women.
Now, of course, because we have modern lighting in homes and work and buildings etc, this actually can end up throwing off our personal melatonin production and throw off our circadian rhythms making it harder for us to sleep and sometimes wrecking havoc on the hormonal cycles of our bodies. So, for this reason I personally prefer not to use the lights in my home as much as possible once it becomes dark. I know this might seem funny and like I’m shunning modern convinces but unless I need the lights on for a task, once it becomes dusk, I try not to use any bright overhead lighting- I prefer to use candles or lamps or I use my dimmer on my overhead lighting to keep my lighting as minimal as possible. And what I have found by doing this is that my menstrual cycle has seriously began to regulate itself. I used to have a cycle that was much longer than the average 28 day cycle- it could go on for like 35-40 days if I wasn’t taking birth control, which is a long time. So essentially a few years ago once I made this switch to not using lights, my cycle has seriously regulated itself and now I have very close to a 28 day cycle which is interesting. So, I track the moon cycle because I’m interested in seeing how the moon interacts with my personal menstral cycle. And I feel like I’ve learned a lot about myself, and my personal energy cycles from keeping track of all of this.
Interestingly, it seems as though for me personally, during the spring and summer when the days are longer, I end up menstruating with the new moon, but in the darker months of the year, my cycle switches to the full moon. I think this might have something to do with the juxtaposition of light and dark, that in the days of the year where there is more light, my body senses the darkness at night more, or perhaps in the winter months I end up using more light in my home and it throws off my melatonin production. Who knows- but I find it fascinating. So, that is why I personally track the moon cycles in my planner, obviously I also track my menstrual cycle as well, and for me its just a way to better understand myself and my health and the natural cycles of my body.
